According to a new report ‘Environmental Working Group’, eating ‘celery’ (celery) not organic, you could be getting some 67 pesticides. Can you imagine?

The group reviewed about 100,000 reports of the Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration (USDA, for its acronym in English) to determine which fruits and vegetables have the highest amounts or lower chemical residues.
These data will be transmitted in the CNN special “Toxic America”, you can see the 2 and 3 June at 8pm ET.
It highlighted 12 fruits and vegetables that contain from 47 to 67 pesticides per serving, which is believed to be more susceptible because their soft skin can absorb more of these chemicals.

Why are we so worried?
Farmers use pesticides, because without them, nearly half of the crops lost to pests or plant disease, according to the USDA. And although no one knows for sure, it is believed that a high intake of pesticides can weaken our immune system causing serious health problems such as cancer, attention deficit disorder and disorders of the nervous system. According to doctors, children are most vulnerable to these substances.
What to do?
Always wash fruits and vegetables to remove bacteria and whether they belong to the list of ‘Dirty Dozen’, remove the shell, or better yet, always buy organic. If you take account of the extra expense is not so much when you think about our health.
