Aerobics alone will not make you look like Jane or Cindy or Cathy, or whoever, no matter how much you make steps, jumps, turns, etc. The image, however, is seductive, and aerobics in all its forms has become a buzzword for overall fitness. A whole generation has grown up with the pace of the classes or step fashion, by the way, always send you more fat and uncoordinated at the bottom of the class, being the most need to learn to master in order to demonstrate that serves both being within these classes, and then there are the puppet masters captivated by the video.

The teachers were taught a variety of exercises, saying that all these exercises are builders of strength, endurance and other qualities philosophies have been adapted to bicycles, ski machines, walk hand-bucks, climbers, treadmills, and a whole aerobic equipment paraphernalia, but in reality, the strength gains are negligible and the benefits they claim only serve to make that particular exercise and not to improve quality of life in which they need “functional strength.”

The society has been duped, the very nature of these aerobic exercises makes it impossible to carry out significant successes in strength to a significant improvement in muscle tone. Burn calories, yes, strengthen muscles, no. When working aerobically (eg brisk walking, etc), your muscles work against little or no resistance and, therefore, can continue to operate at the same level over a long period of time. This is not the way to strengthen the body, and only through force is created as muscle and bones become more dense and strong, thus preventing a person has osteoporosis, to name some of the physical problems that coaches assumptions say that they are able to avoid or counteract the “aerobic work.”
